TASHKENT, JANUARY 19 — Cummins training centre for FOTON mechanics opens in Tashkent
Factory-standard certification: 40 network mechanics have completed the first ISF and X12 diagnostics course.
In January, a Cummins training centre opened on the grounds of the central dealer complex in Tashkent — the first in Central Asia built specifically for the FOTON dealer network. Mechanics here train on the same engines that sit under customers' bonnets: the light-series inline ISF and the long-haul X12.
What the course covers
The first cohort ran 80 hours of hands-on work on sectioned engines and diagnostic benches simulating real faults — from boost-pressure drops to SCR system errors. The exam is administered by a certified Cummins trainer, and no certificate is issued without the practical: finding a planted fault against the clock. Forty mechanics from across the network have completed the course.

What comes next
By the end of the year the centre will graduate three more cohorts, with priority for mechanics from the sites opening this spring in Nukus and Termez. In parallel, a module on electric powertrains is being launched: the network is preparing for a growing eAumark fleet.
